How to Change a Ceiling Light

Gather Your Materials

Before you start, make sure you have all of the necessary materials. You will need a new ceiling light fixture, a screwdriver, and a pair of pliers.

Turn Off the Power

Before you start working on the light fixture, make sure that the power to the circuit is turned off. You can do this by flipping the circuit breaker or removing the fuse that powers the light.

Remove the Old Light Fixture

Once the power is off, you can remove the old light fixture. To do this, first remove the screws that are holding the fixture to the ceiling. Then, carefully pull the fixture down from the ceiling.

Disconnect the Wires
